Teen killed in overnight Tuscaloosa shooting; 20-year-old jailed
An overnight shooting in Tuscaloosa left a teen dead, and a suspect in custody.
The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of Second Avenue.
The victim was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Authorities are not releasing his name because he is under the age of 18, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy.
Mikal Rashaun Kirkman, 20, is charged with murder. He is being held without bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
Kennedy said the motive remains under investigation.
