Teen killed in crash at I-65/I-10 interchange in Mobile
A 16-year-old was killed Friday night when the vehicle in which he was riding hit a retaining wall at near the Interstate 65/Interstate 10 interchange in Mobile, according to Mobile police.
The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. Friday. Police said the vehicle was traveling south on I-65 when it struck a retaining wall, rolled over and struck another vehicle.
The 16-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the other vehicle involved were not injured.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
