A homicide investigation is underway in Mobile after a teenager died after being shot multiple times, police said Wednesday.

Mobile officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Orange Street around 8:06 p.m. Feb. 5 on a report of shots fired in the area, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier.

Officers found the victim, 18-year-old Keshon Bellamy, lying in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.

The teen was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Bellamy died of his injuries Feb. 6, Frazier said.

Further information was not released by police, citing the ongoing investigation.
