Teen, 20-year-old in critical condition after south Alabama apartment complex shooting
Two people are currently in critical condition after being shot Tuesday night at an apartment complex, according to the Daphne Police Department.
The department said officers responded to reports of gunfire at the 10X Audubon Apartments around 7:40 p.m.
Officers found the two in a minivan both suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and neck.
The victims were identified as Demond Walker, 20, and Matthew Barnes, 18. Both were residents at the apartment complex, police said.
After first responders rendered aid to the victims both were transported Intensive Care Unit at USA Hospital in Mobile.
Barnes and Walker are currently still alive but are in critical condition.
According to the department, evidence was recovered at the scene and detectives are pursuing potential leads.
