Changes abound in the first regular season AL.com high school volleyball rankings.

There are four new No. 1 teams and much shuffling behind them. New top-ranked teams are Class 7A Bob Jones, Class 6A Mountain Brook, Class 5A Jasper and Class 3A Plainview.

Bob Jones takes over the top spot after starting the season undefeated, including beating preseason favorite McGill-Tollen on the way to the Juanita Boddie tournament title. It’s the first No. 1 ranking since 2014 when Bob Jones was the top-ranked team throughout the season, but was upset by champion Mountain Brook in semifinal play.

Mountain Brook moved ahead of Bayside after an impressive start while Jasper beat preseason favorite Arab to grab No. 1 and Plainview has notable wins with an undefeated start.

The remainder of the top-ranked team are Class 4A Trinity, Class 2A Donoho, Class 1A Addison and AISA Edgewood.
