Target store closings 2023: See the full list
Target is the latest big-box retailer to announce its closing stores.
Citing a drop in foot traffic, Target announced it is closing four locations in Maryland, Virginia, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. The stores are all smaller-format Target stores.
“The decision to close one of our stores isn’t something we take lightly,” Target spokesperson Kayla Castañeda told Insider. “It’s an action we take only after multiple years of working to improve performance,” she said.
Most employees will receive job offers at other nearby Target locations.
