‘Taken at a Basketball Game’ movie premiere: How to watch, where to stream free

The brand new Lifetime original movie Taken at a Basketball Game premieres Saturday, March 15 at 8/7c.

Inspired by real events, Taken at a Basketball Game follows Wayne Edwards (D.B. Woodside) in his desperate attempt to bond with his estranged 18-year-old daughter, Robyn (Claire Qute). To help repair their weak relationship, Edwards gets them tickets to a basketball game where he envisions the two of them cheering on their favorite team while they reconnect.

However, when Robyn goes to the restroom and fails to return, Edwards worst fear is confirmed when he realizes she’s been kidnapped. On a mission to find her in a stadium filled with thousands of people, he races against the clock and will stop at nothing to find her before it’s too late.

Where can I watch Taken at a Basketball Game?

Those interested in watching this high-stakes thriller can stream it for free through Philo or DirecTV Stream. Though both gift new subscribers with a free trial, Philo remains the cheaper option out of the two at just $28 a month after its 7-day free trial expires.

The Lifetime original movie is also available for streaming through Sling, and although there is no free trial for new subscribers, Sling currently has an ongoing promotion offering half off the first month.

What is Philo?

Philo is considered one of the cheapest basic cable alternatives on the market now. Users can access over 70 live TV channels for just $28 a month after the 7-day free trial.

Along with Lifetime, some of Philo’s most popular channels includes MTV, HGTV, AMC, CMT, TLC, BET, Discovery Channel and more. Philo subscribers can also stream an impressive collection of movies and TV shows on-demand easily.

Recording favorite content is easy with Philo, too. Through Philo’s unlimited DVR feature, users can record favorite content without worrying about having enough space to do so.

What is DirecTV Stream?

DirecTV Stream offers subscribers an abundance of live TV channels and helpful features, too. Its base package starts at just $86.99 a month after the 5-day free trial expires and includes channels such as HGTV, ESPN, Bravo, CMT, CNBC, BET, CNN and more.

What is Sling?

Sling is another streaming service to consider. Though no free trial is available to new subscribers, those interested in committing to a paid plan get half off the first month.

Both the Sling Orange plan and the Sling Blue plan are normally $45.99 a month, but with the current promotion, users will pay just $23 a month for the first month.

For those who wish to access channels from both the Sling Blue and Sling Orange plans can do so by signing up for the Orange + Blue plan, which combines the best of both plans for just $60.99 a month ($30.50 for the first month).
