Tailgating prices will be up dramatically this fall at Legion Field for the Magic City Classic.

The Birmingham Park and Recreation Board voted to raise prices for tailgate spaces at the annual showdown between Alabama A&M and Alabama State, which will be on Oct. 28.

The former price for a tailgate space for the Magic City Classic was $140 per space for four days, Wednesday through Saturday.

Beginning this fall, the price will increase to $400 for four days, Wednesday through Saturday.

The cost of Saturday only parking tailgating increases from $20 to $50 for the day.

The release of tailgating spaces will be announced in August.
