T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach out at ABC, won’t return to ‘GMA3′

ABC has severed tied with “GMA3″ anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach after an investigation into their personal relationship, TMZ and Page Six are reporting.

Citing sources, TMZ reports both will receive payouts, per their contracts. According to the report, mediation was “extremely contentious.” ABC reps accused both Robach and Holmes of misconduct, which the source said was as “a witch hunt.”

Among the accusations was that alcohol had been found in Robach’s dressing room. One source said the accusation was “ridiculous,” explaining some of the bottles were sent from top ABC News execs.

There were also accusations Robach showed up “drunk” to work after attending the College Football National Championship last year, which an “insider” said was an “insane” claim.

In addition, Robach’s workplace romance with Holmes reportedly made some staffers feel “uncomfortable” on set.

Page Six, citing a source, reports, “Unless ABC reaches a satisfactory departure agreement with both Amy and T.J., they would both be looking at filing lawsuits against the network.”

It was reported in December that the rumored romance between Robach, 49, and Holmes, 45, was under investigation at the network to ensure their relationship neither breached their contracts nor utilized company resources.

In the days before Christmas, sources told TMZ the pair would not return to the daytime show until the internal review concluded.

In late December, Holmes filed for divorce from lawyer Marilee Fiebig amid the ongoing investigation into the journalist’s romance with Robach.

Holmes, 45, filed in New York City according to TMZ. The filing comes a month to the day since photos of him and Robach came to light.
