Sweethearts candy has new conversation hearts: Read the ‘mixed signals’ for yourself

Even if you’ve never been in a “situationship,” you’re probably familiar with the term — an undefined romantic relationship where the expectations may be unclear. Or the expectations may be clear, but the future may not be. Whatever the case, Sweethearts– the famous candy hearts with romantic messages– has a confection for it.

This month, the classic candy brand debuted “Situationship Boxes”– boxes full of blurry, misprinted candies  for “confused singles everywhere.”

Singles are taking ‘situationships’ to the next level this year, and Sweethearts is here for them,” said Evan Brock, vice president of marketing for Sweethearts parent brand, Spangler Candy Company.

“The printing on Sweethearts isn’t always perfect,” Brock said in a news release. “This is our way of embracing those imperfections in a way that taps into pop culture.”
