Suspect surrenders to police in Mobile shooting death
A 55-year-old man surrendered to Mobile police at the city’s Metro Jail in connection to a homicide from a month earlier, police said on Thursday.
Christopher York is charged with murder.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Gaston Street just after 4 p.m. on May 16.
At the scene, the found Christopher Robinson, 45, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
