Suspect sought in deadly Montgomery shooting

Authorities are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a man in Montgomery more than a week ago.

Irvin Garcia Messino, 34, is charged with murder.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers on Wednesday said the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force is actively searching for Messino, and Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward starting at $1,000 for information that leads to his capture.

He is sought in an Aug. 19 homicide. Authorities did not identify the victim in the case, but 45-year-old Dario Juarez was fatally shot in Montgomery on that date.

Messino is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. He goes by the nicknames of Cheras Mont or Cheras Garcia.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 334-215-STOP (7867) or 1-833-AL1-STOP. Tips can also be submitted through the P3-tips app.
