Suspect in Mobile murder case extradited from Mississippi

The suspect in an April 10 murder in Mobile was extradited back to the city from a neighboring Mississippi community.

Mobile police said James Luu Tanksley was taken into custody last Tuesday by the Moss Point (Miss.) Police Department and arrived back in Mobile on Friday.

Tanksley was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail, charged with the murder of 34-year-old Darrell Brown, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound at a residence in the 1000 block of Orchard Drive shortly before 6:30 p.m. on April 10.

Brown was taken to a local hospital, but later died.
