Suspect in custody, to be charged with murder of teen in Mobile
A suspect is in Mobile police custody in the Wednesday night slaying of a 19-year-old man, authorities said Friday.
Corey Moorer is set to be charged with murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Rodrick Woods II, said Cpl. Ryan Blakely.
Woods was found shot in the 1000 block of Center Street around 10:46 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured in the incident, but gunfire struck a home with people inside and a vehicle with no occupants, police said.
