Suspect charged with murder, drug trafficking following deadly Montgomery shooting
Authorities have made an arrest in a fatal shooting that happened late last week in Montgomery.
Deandre Byers, 23, was taken into custody Monday in connection with the March 30 slaying of 20-year-old Antarrio Hubbard. Byers is charged with murder and drug trafficking, said Montgomery police Maj. Saba Coleman.
Hubbard showed up about 7 p.m. Thursday at a Montgomery hospital. He had been shot and driven there in a personal vehicle.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigators determined Hubbard was shot in the 400 block of Buford Street.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding Hubbard’s death nor identified a motive.
Byers is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
