A suspect has been charged in last week’s shooting death of an 86-year-old Montgomery man.

Police on Saturday announced the arrest of 45-year-old Anthony Tallie. He is charged with murder in the killing of William Strane, and also charged with felony attempting to elude.

Authorities were dispatched at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday to the 2700 block of Locust Street, said Maj. Saba Coleman. They found Strane dead on the scene.

No additional details have been made public.

Tallie was taken into custody earlier today and is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
