A 23-year-old is charged with murder in the slaying of another man at a Montgomery motel.

Quintavious Markeith Langford is charged in the March 28 slaying of 34-year-old Willie Gray.

The deadly shooting happened at 11:07 p.m. that Tuesday at the Budgetel Inn on Carmichael Road.

Montgomery police Maj. Saba Coleman was taken into custody Monday by the department’s Gang Unit. He is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Center.

A motive has not been disclosed.

Court records show Langford is set to go to trial in August on a second-degree assault charge in an unrelated shooting of another man in Montgomery.
