A suspect was taken into custody Monday morning in connection with the Friday death of a Montgomery man.

Montgomery police on Friday discovered the body of 34-year-old Antonio Fortson in the 2200 block of East Sixth Street, said police Maj. Saba Coleman. The circumstances and cause of death were initially unknown, but new evidence shows Fortson was a homicide victim.

No additional details have been released.
