Mobile police have arrested a suspect in the April 4 murder of a 35-year-old woman at a local motel.

The Mobile Police Department said Thursday 38-year-old Ronalldo Kendrick had been arrested for the murder of Ashley Williams at the Extend-a-Suites motel on the East Interstate 65 Service Road South.

Police responded to that location about 4:20 a.m. on April 4. When they arrived, officers found Williams inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

Investigation led police to Kendrick as the primary suspect. Police said he was taken into custody Thursday and will be charged with Williams’ murder, as well as shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.
