Suspect arrested in deadly Mobile nightclub shooting

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday in the September shooting at a Mobile nightclub that led to the death of a 31-year old man weeks later, police said.

Mobile police detectives identified Reginald Fluker, 23, as the man responsible for opening fire Sept. 18 at Bank Nightlife on 271 Azalea Rd. when 31-year-old Derrick Shavers was struck by gunfire, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier.

Shavers, who suffered life-threatening injuries in the shooting, died of his wounds Oct. 8.

Fluker is expected to be charged with murder, Frazier said.
