A 21-year-old suspect is being held in the Montgomery County jail after he was arrested Monday and charged with murder in the August shooting death of a 33-year-old man, police said.

Zernell Mills, 21, of Montgomery, was taken into custody Monday and transported to the jail, where he is being held without bond, said Montgomery police Sgt. Tina McGriff.

Mills was identified as the suspect in the Aug. 8 slaying of 33-year-old Montgomery resident Natalio Garcia.

Garcia was found shot to death in the 300 block Chase Street.
