State investigating after Elba City School board member’s house shot into

State law enforcement is investigating after shots were fired at the home of an Elba City School Board member Thursday night.

The Coffee County District Attorney’s Office asked the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency to investigate the incident, the agency said Friday.

No one was injured by the shooting, according to ALEA.

The agency did not immediately say whether law enforcement believes the shots fired were related to the board member’s position, but WTVY reported that the gunfire erupted at the home of Johnny Senn right after the board chose not to renew the superintendent’s contract.

ALEA asked anyone with information on the incident to contact the agency at 334-983-4587.

Further information was not released; the investigation was ongoing.
