Start time of Auburn baseball’s regional opener pushed back due to weather

As is common for NCAA tournament baseball, the Auburn regional didn’t start on schedule due to inclement weather in the area.

The first game between NC State and Stetson was originally scheduled to start at 2 p.m. CDT, but will now start at 3:10 p.m. after a weather delay. That game starting late also has an effect on Auburn’s regional opener.

The Tigers were scheduled to start their game against Central Connecticut State at 6 p.m., but the now scheduled time is 7 p.m., or 55 minutes following the conclusion of the earlier game. Both games will be streaming on ESPN+.

It’s not the first time this postseason weather has affected Auburn either. During the Southeastern Conference tournament, Auburn’s second round game against Texas A&M was moved from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, after a postponement on Tuesday night caused the schedule to shift.

Auburn lost the impending game against Texas A&M, ending its run in the SEC tournament.
