Spring roundup: Homewood hands Hall his 400th, 401st career wins
Homewood routed Shades Valley 23-0 on Monday to give Patriots baseball coach Lee Hall his 401st career victory. Hall is in his eighth season leading Homewood and his 21st as a head coach. He has been in the profession 34 years, including nine years as an assistant at Central Alabama Community College, three years as an assistant at UAB and one at Briarwood Christian.
In the win over Shades Valley, junior Ben Roberts gave up a hit and struck out 7 with no walks over 4 innings. Junior John Griffin went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and 2 runs scored. Will Dobbins drove in 3 runs with a home run and a double. Jack Bland had a pair of singles and an RBI.
