1 Team in the nation has lost more turnovers than South Carolina. The Gamecocks have 19 turnovers in 2022 – eight fumbles and 11 interceptions. The only team with more is Central Michigan, which has lost 22 – 16 fumbles and six interceptions. Vanderbilt has 12 takeaways this season, recovering eight fumbles and intercepting four passes.

5 Tackles for loss for Vanderbilt’s Jaylen Mahoney in the Commodores’ 17-14 loss to Missouri in their previous game. Mahoney became the fourth NCAA FBS player to reach five tackles for loss in a game this season. Mahoney tied the Vanderbilt single-game record established by Stephen Weatherly in a 24-17 loss to Tennessee on Nov. 29, 2014. Mahoney became the ninth SEC player this century with at least five tackles for loss in a game.

10 TDs in South Carolina’s five wins and one TD in the Gamecocks’ three losses for RB MarShawn Lloyd this season. Lloyd had 481 yards and eight TDs on 77 rushing attempts and nine receptions for 97 yards and two TDs in the victories and 75 yards and one TD on 23 rushing attempts and eight receptions for 76 yards in the losses.

10 Years since South Carolina won consecutive SEC road games in the same season. The Gamecocks defeated Kentucky 24-14 in their previous conference road game on Oct. 8. South Carolina most recently won consecutive SEC road games in the same season in 2012, when the Gamecocks won at Vanderbilt 17-13 on Aug. 30 and at Kentucky 38-17 on Sept. 29. South Carolina hasn’t won two SEC road games in the same season since 2018, when it took victories at Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.

The Gamecocks haven’t lost to the Commodores since a 24-17 setback on Sept. 4, 2008, and South Carolina leads the series 27-4 overall, its best record against any NCAA FBS program that it has played at least 10 times. The run against Vanderbilt is South Carolina’s longest winning streak against an SEC opponent.

25 Consecutive SEC games have been lost by Vanderbilt, the third-longest losing streak in league games in conference history. The Commodores have not beaten a conference opponent since topping Missouri 21-14 on Oct. 19, 2019. Sewanee lost the 36 conference games that it played as an SEC member from 1933 through 1939. Vanderbilt lost the 33 league games it played between a 17-14 victory over Tennessee on Nov. 29, 1975, and a 27-23 victory over Ole Miss on Oct. 24, 1981.

41 Solo tackles have been recorded by South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori, the most in the SEC this season. With 51 total tackles, Emmanwori has the most among the conference’s freshmen.

84 Tackles have been recorded by Vanderbilt LB Anfernee Orji this season, 12 more than any other SEC player has in 2022.
