4 SEC defensive backs formed the secondary on the AP midseason All-American team, which was released this week. The cornerbacks were Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry and Missouri’s Kris Abrams-Draine, and the safeties were Georgia’s Malaki Starks and Auburn’s Jaylin Simpson.

5 100-yard receiving games for Missouri WR Luther Burden III this season, the most in the SEC. But Burden isn’t the leading receiver in Saturday’s game. South Carolina WR Xavier Legette has averaged 119.3 receiving yards per game and Burden has averaged 115.4 receiving yards per game this season. Legette has 716 yards and three TDs on 37 receptions in 2023. Burden has 808 yards and five TDs on 56 receptions. Legette has four 100-yard receiving games in 2023.

7 Losses for the six teams played by South Carolina this season, with the Gamecocks responsible for two of the defeats. North Carolina and Georgia are undefeated, Furman’s only loss came against South Carolina, Tennessee has one loss, Florida two and Mississippi State has three. MSU is the other team beaten by the Gamecocks in 2023.

In 2023, Rattler has completed 66-of-77 passes for 946 yards with 10 TDs and one interception at home and 76-of-116 passes for 778 yards with one TD and three interceptions in three games away from Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks have played Furman, Mississippi State and Florida at home, Georgia and Tennessee on the road and North Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rattler has an .857 completion percentage and a 229.17 passing-efficiency rating in home games and a .655 completion percentage and a 119.53 passing-efficiency rating in away games this season.

16 Points are needed by Missouri K Harrison Mevis to become the school’s career leading scorer. With 73 field goals and 128 extra points, Mevis has scored 347 points. Jeff Wolfert scored 362 points – 59 field goals and 185 extra points – for Missouri from 2006 through 2008.

41 Points have been scored by South Carolina’s opponent in each of the Gamecocks’ past two games. South Carolina lost to Tennessee 41-20 on Sept. 30 and 41-39 to Florida on Oct. 14. South Carolina has allowed 40 or more points in three consecutive games once. In 2020, the Gamecocks lost to LSU 52-24, Texas A&M 48-3 and Ole Miss 59-42.
