The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory at 11:32 a.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Choctaw, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw and Covington counties.

The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 108 degrees expected.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” states the weather service.
