South Alabama picks up 2025 commitment from Florida DB

South Alabama on Wednesday picked up its second Class of 2025 football commitment, from a player on the same high school team as its first.

Defensive back Jeremiah Thomas of Gadsden County High School in Havana, Fla., announced he has committed to the Jaguars. He is a teammate of linebacker Byron Jackson, who pledged to the Jaguars last month.

Thomas (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) plays both wide receiver and defensive back at Gadsden County, also the Jaguars. He also had an offer from Florida A&M in nearby Tallahassee.

The early signing period for the Class of 2025 begins in December.
