South Alabama’s 2024 home football game vs. Northwestern State has been moved up to Thursday, Sept. 12, the school announced Friday.

The was originally set for Sept. 14, a Saturday. The adjustment allows for extra preparation time leading into the Jaguars’ Sun Belt Conference opener at Appalachian State, which is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19.

South Alabama will now play four non-Saturday games in 2024. In addition to Northwestern State and Appalachian State on Saturday, the Jaguars will host Troy on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Texas State on Friday, Nov. 29.
