South Alabama landed a football verbal commitment on Thursday from Davis Little, a kicker from South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga.

Little (6-foot, 165 pounds) is regarded as the No. 33 kicker in the 2024 recruiting class by Kohl’s Kicking. He also has scholarship offers from Troy, Connecticut and Georgia Southern.

Little announced his commitment via Twitter/X:

South Alabama has a need at kicker in 2024 and beyond, as both starter Diego Guajardo and kickoff specialist Jacob Meeks are seniors with no remaining eligibility beyond this season. Guajardo is the Jaguars’ all-time leader in points (303), field goals (54) and extra points (141).

Little’s commitment comes after a week in which South Alabama lost verbal pledges from a pair of prospects, Goshen running back Jamauri McClure and Theodore defensive lineman Kevin Norwood. The Jaguars now have 14 commitments for the 2024 class, with the early signing period set to begin on Dec. 20.
