South Alabama gets commitment from New Orleans prep DB

South Alabama added an out-of-state talent to its 2024 recruiting class on Friday, as New Orleans high school cornerback Charles “Cube” Gurley publicly committed to the Jaguars.

Gurley, from St. Augustine High School, is South Alabama’s third commitment for the 2024 class. He joins two Mobile-area commits — defensive tackle Kevin Norwood of Theodore and offensive lineman Asher Hale of St. Paul’s — as players expected to sign with the Jaguars in December.
