South Alabama gets commitment from Georgia prep LB
South Alabama continued its recruiting hot streak with a commitment from Georgia high school linebacker Parker Shattuck on Saturday.
Shattuck, a first-team all-region pick at LaGrange High School in 2022, took an official visit to Mobile this weekend. He chose the Jaguars over offers from Sun Belt Conference rivals Georgia State, Georgia Southern and Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State, among other schools.
Shattuck announced his commitment via Twitter:
Shattuck (6-foot-2, 215 pounds) is South Alabama’s fifth commitment for the 2024 class and third in the last two days. A pair of high school defensive backs, Amarion Fortenberry of Columbia, Miss., and Charles Gurley of New Orleans, committed to the Jaguars on Friday.
The early signing period for high school seniors begins in late December.
