A car accident claimed the life of a Mobile driver early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 7:31 a.m., officers responded to the area of I-10 and Highway 90 in reference to a traffic accident, according to a release from Mobile Public Safety.

Once there, officers discovered two vehicles were involved in an accident on I-10 Eastbound.

One of the vehicles left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Taylor Goff, 33, was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, according to the release.
