Kendrick Lamar took center stage – with a little help from Samuel L. Jackson – during halftime of the Super Bowl on Sunday in New Orleans.
Lamar was joined by SZA during the performance.
After teasing as performance of “Not Like Us,” Lamar finally performed an abridged and clean version of the hit. The crowd in New Orleans sang along.
Jackson opened the show as “Uncle Sam” and welcomed viewers to Lamar’s halftime show.
Lamar performed the following:
Unreleased song
- squabble up
- HUMBLE.
- DNA.
- man at the garden
- peekaboo
- luther (with SZA)
- All the Stars (with SZA)
- Not Like Us
- tv off
While there were many who were fans of the performance, the overwhelming reaction was luke warm.
It wasn’t Lamar’s first Super Bowl performance. He appeared in his hometown of Los Angeles as part of the Super Bowl 56 halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.
