As Alabama braces for cold weather this week, some have already documented the fall of snow in certain parts of the state.

According to weather advisories, today and Friday are the most likely days that snow is expected.

On Friday, north and central Alabama are anticipated to see some form of winter precipitation, either in the form of snow or freezing rain.

Forecasts are still not sure if the precipitation could bring potential travel issues for those areas.

For south Alabama it will remain cold all week but the odds of seeing a snowflake are slim except for inland areas.
