Show up early for Labor Day travel, Huntsville International Airport advises
If Labor Day weekend means a flight through Huntsville International Airport, flyers are being advised to arrive earlier than they might have otherwise planned.
That’s due to an expected uptick in passengers combined with renovation work at HSV, said Mary Swanstrom, public relations manager the airport. All that could mean longer lines at the Transportation Security Administration security checkpoint.
HSV is expecting its four major airlines to offer almost 20,000 seats on 266 flights over the holiday weekend, Aug. 30 to Sept. 2. Swanstrom said the holiday is likely to bring fewer business travelers but more leisure travelers.
