Shooting in Tarrant leaves man with critical injuries
An investigation is underway after a man was shot in Tarrant.
Tarrant police responded at 7 p.m. Tuesday to the 1700 block of Damon Street on a report of a person shot.
Police said they found the man with a gunshot wound to his neck area. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.
Authorities said the preliminary information indicates the victim was allegedly attempting to forcefully gain entry into a residence after being previously warned to stay away. He was then shot by someone from within the home.
No additional details are being released at this time.
