Shooting in southwest Birmingham leaves 2 wounded
A shooting on Birmingham’s west side left two people injured.
The shooting happened at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of 30th Street S.W.
Sgt. LaQuitta Wade said one of the victims was taken by private vehicle to Princeton Baptist Medical Center. The second was transported to UAB Hospital by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service.
The severity of their injuries was not yet available.
There was also a report of shots fired into a nearby occupied home.
