Shooting in Mobile leaves 1 dead, 1 in custody
A shooting in Mobile left one dead Friday evening.
According to officials, Mobile police were called to the 1000 block of Elmira Street around 6:43 p.m. when they discovered 53-year-old Patrick Orr on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Orr was transported to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, police responded to Springhill Medical Center where 53-year-old Samuel Grace was taken into custody. Grace received treatment for injuries he sustained from an earlier physical altercation with Orr, according to police.
After an investigation, Grace was arrested for murder and transported to jail.
