Shipt is offering same-day deliveries for Father’s Day with free trial

Birmingham-based delivery company Shipt is offering a special promotion that allows for convenient free same-day delivery for those who need a little extra help planning for Father’s Day 2024.

Although Shipt typically requires a paid membership, new users can also take advantage of its 14-day free trial that may be hesitant to pay for the service upfront.

For those who are unfamiliar with Shipt, it is an online delivery service that goes beyond groceries and has a lot in common with other gig economy services like Doordash and Postmates, according to reports by Lifewire. Like those similar services, Shipt operates by paying contractors to shop for, purchase and deliver groceries and other items directly to your door.

How does Shipt work?

Shipt works similarly to the other delivery services previously mentioned. You will first select what store you want to shop from, like Target, Petsmart or Sephora, then add what items you want to your cart. Then complete the checkout process and select when you want the items delivered.

Lastly, you will simply need to make sure someone is home when these items are scheduled to be delivered.

After its free trial, Shipt monthly membership plans start at $4.99 a month for students or $10.99 a month for everyone else. The company also offers an annual plan for $99 a year.
