Severe weather possible in parts of Alabama today: When will storms arrive?
A line of showers and thunderstorms are expected in Alabama later today.
Jim Stefkovich, Meteorologist, Alabama Emergency Management Agency, said storms will enter northwestern Alabama between midnight and 4 a.m. Thursday into Friday before leaving to the southeast late Friday evening. No severe weather is expected north of I-20 but the line will increase in intensity south of Highway 80/I-85.
A few damaging wind gusts and an embedded tornado or two are possible.
Temperatures throughout the state will remain chilly.
Low temperatures will be in the lower to middle 30s north of I-20 Saturday morning. Low temperatures on both Sunday and Monday morning will be in the middle to upper 20s north of I-20 and upper 20s to lower 30s south of I-20 and north of Hwy 80/I-85.
