Seven fun (and educational) things to do in coastal Alabama this week
There’s plenty of fun things to do in coastal Alabama (see: our list of festivals in the area), particularly as the spring weather continues and students start to count down the days until the end of the school year.
But if you’re looking for something to do that is both fun and requires you to use your brain a bit, here is a (non-exhaustive) list of some educational and informative activities happening around the area this week.
AARP Tax-Aide: April 10, April 12; 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Ben May Main Library, Mobile, AL
Ahead of the April 18 filing deadline to file your tax return, the AARP Foundation is providing free tax preparation services, with no income or age requirements. No appointment necessary, but the library website notes that participants should bring their paperwork, such as current identification, previous year’s tax forms or W-2s along with them. The service will also be offered on April 17. For more information, call: (678) 749-0310.
Coffee with the Mayor: April 12, 8 a.m.-10 a.m., Daphne Senior Center, Daphne, AL
