Senior Bowl adds Javion Cohen, Spencer Rattler for 2024
Miami offensive lineman Javion Cohen, formerly of Alabama, and South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler have accepted invitations to the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Cohen has started 10 of 11 games at left guard for the Hurricanes heading into the final regular-season game at Boston College on Saturday. The former Central-Phenix City star played at Alabama from 2020-22, earning second-team All-SEC honors in his final year before entering the transfer portal.
He is joined in the game by Rattler, who has passed for 3,074 yards and 19 touchdowns this season heading into Saturday’s season finale vs. Clemson. The 6-1, 217-pound Rattler — who began his career at Oklahoma before joining the Gamecocks in 2022 — is the second quarterback confirmed for the 2024 Senior Bowl, along with Tulane’s Michael Pratt.
Cohen was the second of two players with in-state ties to commit to the Senior Bowl on Monday. Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, a former Spanish Fort High School standout, accepted his invitation earlier in the day.
