Selma man, 44, killed in motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a weekend crash in Dallas County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Timothy A. Rubin. He was 44 and lived in Selma.

The wreck happened at 6:45 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 80, about 10 miles east of Selma.

Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said Rubin was driving a Suzuki GSX 1300R motorcycle that struck the rear of Jeep Wrangler driven by 39-year-old Steven P. Manuel of Pike Road.

Rubin was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
