AL.com readers chose Chelsea to win the AHSAA Class 6A volleyball championship this season.

The AL.com high school sports staff predicted Mountain Brook to repeat as champion while Chelsea was slotted at No. 8.

Chelsea picked up 93 percent of the vote while Mountain Brook was a distant second with 3 percent and Montgomery Academy had 2 percent.

Mountain Brook has won four of the past five Class 6A championships.

Chelsea has never won a volleyball title or reached the championship game.
