See the rosters for this year’s North-South All-Star football game

Auburn 5-star linebacker commits Demarcus Riddick and Joe Phillips highlight the South Roster for the 65th annual North-South football game in December.

The rosters were announced Saturday morning by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association.

Arab’s Lee Ozmint will coach the North, while Montgomery Catholic’s Kirk Johnson will lead the South.

The game is scheduled for Dec. 15 at Mobile’s Hancock Whitney Stadium on the campus of South Alabama.

“We have an abundance of talent in our state each year, and both teams selected reflect that talent,” said Brandon Dean, director of the AHSADCA. “We are looking forward to another exciting game this December.”

Auburn athlete commit Malcolm Simmons of Benjamin Russell will join his future teammates Phillips (B.T Washington) and Riddick (Chilton County) on the South roster.

Other players on the South squad include N.C. State DB commit Ronnie Royal (Gulf Shores), Mississippi State QB commit Josh Flowers (Baker), Coastal Carolina RB commit DJ Butler (Davidson) and South Alabama ATH commit Jerrian Graham (Vigor).

The North roster is headlined by Auburn commits D.J. Barber (Clay-Chalkville) and A’Mon Lane (Moody) along with running backs Cole Gamble (Mountain Brook) and Ri Fletcher (Hartselle), quarterback Peyton Floyd (Hewitt-Trussville) and wide receiver Deuce Oliver (Thompson).

The All-Star selection committee, consisting of the two coaching staffs participating in this year’s game, chose the teams from nominations submitted by AHSAA member school coaches.

Named to Johnson’s South coaching staff are Zach Golson, Mary Montgomery; Antonio Coleman, Williamson; Quinn Hambrite, Charles Henderson; LaBrian Stewart, Abbeville; Matt Johnson, Reeltown; Kyle Caldwell, Elmore County; and administrative coaches Lev Holly, Mobile County BOE, and Matt Dearmon, Saraland.

Joining Ozmint’s North staff are Scott Basden, Muscle Shoals; Caleb Simmons, Winston County; Darrell LeBeaux, Pleasant Grove; Jake Ganus, Moody; Ali Smith, Gadsden City; Tim Vakakes, Spain Park; and administrative coaches Andy Lambert, T.R. Miller, and Mark Heaton, Baldwin County.
