See the latest recruiting rankings for in-state seniors, AU, Tide commits

Recent Texas A&M commit Cam Coleman of Central-Phenix City is the highest ranked Alabama high school player in the updated On300 recruiting rankings for the Class of 2024.

On3′s update released Monday is its third of the year for this cycle.

Coleman, a 5-star wide receiver for the Red Devils, chose Texas A&M on the 4th of July over in-state contender Auburn and others. He moved up from No. 13 to No. 6 in the new rankings.

Other in-state stars in On3′s top 50 are Clay-Chalkville ATH Jaylen Mbakwe (Alabama commit, No. 21), Chilton County LB Demarcus Riddick (Georgia, No. 33) and Foley WR Perry Thompson (Alabama, No. 48).

The new nationwide No. 1 recruit is 5-star DL Williams Nwaneri of Lee’s Summit, Mo. He is followed by Ohio State WR commit Jeremiah Smith (Hollywood, Fla.), Georgia DB commit Ellis Robinson IV (New Haven, Conn.), Uncommitted EDGE Colin Simmons (Duncanville, Texas) and Ohio State DL commit Justin Scott (Chicago).

Alabama QB commit Julian Sayin of Carlsbad, Calif., now a 5-star prospect, is No. 7 on the list. He is the highest ranked Alabama commit in the updated ranking. Auburn’s highest-ranked commitment is Booker T. Washington LB Joseph Phillips, who comes in at No. 83 – up from 121 in the last On3 ranking.

There are a pair of uncommitted players among On3′s top 10 Alabama prospects in this class. Vestavia Hills’ EDGE Jordan Ross is ranked No. 5 in the state and No. 70 in the nation, while Brookwood OL William Sanders is No. 9 in the state and No. 111 overall. Sanders made a big jump from No. 24 in Alabama in the last update.

Phillips is the No. 6 player in the state.

The rest of Alabama’s top 10: Alabama commit Jeremiah Beaman of Parker (No. 7 Alabama, No. 98 overall), Miami commit Kevin Riley of Tuscaloosa County (No. 8, No. 105) and Alabama commit Sterling Dixon of Mobile Christian (No. 10, No. 165).
