Basketball state semifinals begin on Monday with several Birmingham-area teams contending for championships.

Games will be played at Birmingham’s BJCC Legacy Arena with semifinals Monday-Wednesday while Class 7A plays its semifinal contests on Thursday along with Class 1A boys and girls championships. Friday and Saturday features championship games for the remaining classes.
