Tickets were punched for next week’s Alabama High School Athletic Association final four as the prep basketball season winds down. Region champions were crowned in Class 7A, 6A and 2A at all four tournament sites – the Northeast at Jacksonville State University’s Pete Mathews Coliseum, Wallace State-Hanceville’s Traditions Bank Arena, Birmingham’s Bill Harris Arena and Montgomery’s Garrett Coliseum.

Standout performances highlighted these win-or-go-home games.

Each day during the regionals, the Lede will rank the key efforts that highlighted the day. Here are Tuesday’s key performances:

7. Saniya Jackson, Park Crossing (girls, South)

The 5-foot-8 junior scored 18 points as the Thunderbirds improved to 28-1 and advanced to the final four in Birmingham with a 52-30 win over Pike Road. Jackson also had 9 rebounds and 6 steals.
