Second suspects charged in Bank Nightlife murder

Mobile police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old man at Bank Nightlife last September.

On Wednesday night, police arrested the first suspect, 23-year-old Reginald Fluker, and charged him with the murder of Derrick Shavers, who died on Oct. 8 from multiple gunshot wounds suffered in the Sept. 18 shooting at Bank Nightlife club on Azalea Road.

On Thursday, Mobile police announced the arrest of a second suspect, 29-year-old John McCarroll, who is also charged with murder.

McCarroll is also charged with four counts of assault in a Nov. 30 shooting at Club Paparazzi on Dauphin Street. Four people were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds, with one woman critically injured.
